Unconventional AI to Acquire NeuReality, Accelerating Its Path to 1,000x AI Compute Efficiency

Today, Unconventional AI announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire NeuReality, a pioneer in purpose-built AI inference infrastructure and silicon, headquartered in Caesarea, Israel.

The acquisition brings NeuReality’s seasoned engineering team, spanning system architecture, silicon design, and AI systems software, into Unconventional. The team has spent the past seven years designing, building, and deploying AI infrastructure, attacking the orchestration and data-movement overhead that dominates the real cost of AI inference.

Unconventional is building a 4-dimensional compute substrate targeting a 1,000x improvement in AI compute efficiency relative to conventional architectures. Reaching this target requires co-design across device physics, silicon architecture, and the AI models themselves. NeuReality’s technology and its team’s experience across complete AI datacenter infrastructure materially compress Unconventional’s timeline to production systems.

“The hardest thing in this industry is assembling a team that can build real silicon and the systems around it, and Moshe has built one of the best,” said Naveen Rao, Cofounder and CEO of Unconventional AI. “We are chasing a 1,000x improvement in AI compute efficiency, and that is a systems problem as much as a physics problem. We think unconventionally about computing, and the accelerating pace of our research calls for an unconventional approach to growth. Bringing NeuReality’s team into Unconventional accelerates our roadmap significantly.”

“We built NeuReality because we believed the economics of AI inference were fundamentally broken, and that the answer had to come from rethinking the system rather than tuning it,” said Moshe Tanach, Co-Founder and CEO of NeuReality. “Unconventional is taking that conviction further than anyone else in the market. With demand for AI computation growing against finite energy and semiconductor capacity, this mission has never been more essential. This is the next chapter of the mission we started with: fixing the economics of AI, now with the platform to do it at full scale.”

Tanach and the NeuReality founding team will join Unconventional, and the company intends to maintain NeuReality’s engineering presence in Israel.

The transaction has been approved by the boards of directors of both companies and is expected to close in Q4 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
